Connecting a question
- 1Connect Google or Notion under Integrations, if you have not already.
- 2Add a dropdown or multiple-choice question and open its properties.
- 3Choose the table and the column or property that holds the values.
- 4The panel then shows how many options came back and when they were last read.
Google needs no extra permission — the app already had read access to the spreadsheets you connected, so there is nothing to re-approve.
When it refreshes
- Every time you publish the form.
- Every 15 minutes in the background, oldest-first so a large account works through its backlog.
- On demand, from the refresh button in the question's properties.
When the source breaks
A dropdown with no choices is a form nobody can complete, so that is not allowed to happen.
- If a refresh fails, the last list that worked keeps being served, and the builder tells you what broke.
- If the source comes back empty — a cleared sheet, a filter matching nothing — that is treated as a mistake being made, not as an instruction to wipe your live form.
- If a form is published before its first successful read, it falls back to whatever options you typed by hand.
Options from a connected table are never translated. They are your data and are served exactly as they arrive.
