Embedding on the platform you use
The snippet is a standard iframe, so anywhere that accepts HTML will take it. What differs is where the HTML box is hidden.
- WordPress
- Add a Custom HTML block in the block editor and paste. Do not use the Classic editor's visual tab — it strips iframes.
- Webflow
- Drag in an Embed element and paste. It renders on publish rather than in the designer, which is expected.
- Squarespace
- A Code block, on any Business plan or above. Personal plans do not allow custom code.
- Shopify
- Paste into a page's HTML view, or a Custom Liquid section in the theme editor.
- Framer
- An Embed component, set to HTML rather than URL.
- Notion
- Paste the form's public link and choose Embed — Notion builds the frame itself, so the snippet is not needed.
- Plain HTML
- Paste it where you want the form. There is no script tag and nothing to load in the head.
Sizing, scrolling and the mistakes that cause both
Almost every embedding problem is a height problem. An iframe does not grow with its content, so a form taller than the frame gets an inner scrollbar — which people rarely notice and often mistake for the end of the form.
- Set a generous height
- Taller than you think. Whitespace under a short form is invisible; a cut-off form costs you the response.
- Use a multi-step layout
- A paged form has a predictable height, which makes it far easier to embed than one long scroll.
- Give it full width
- Let the container control the width and set the iframe to 100%. A fixed pixel width is what breaks the embed on a phone.
- Consider linking instead
- For a long form, a button to the hosted page often converts better than a cramped embed. The hosted page is designed for the form; your page is not.
The embed is the same form
There is no separate embedded version to keep in step. The iframe points at the published form, so editing a question, changing the theme or switching the layout appears in the embed immediately, without touching the page it sits on. Responses arrive in the same place with no distinction made, and the form's spam protection applies exactly as it does on the hosted page. The one thing worth knowing is that the form is served from a different domain, so it does not inherit your site's CSS — which is the point, and why it looks right without you styling anything.
